2020 RESOLUTIONS

Hey there, rainy day here in Florida – sipping my coffee and cleaning my house on this weekend. I always find myself at this time of year writing down my new year resolutions, I feel like this always helps me – remember them, and hold myself accountable. Setting goals is something I have always been passionate about, but easy to slip out of. It’s very common to let resolutions to become unrealistic, but dream BIG and let God do the rest.

Since we are starting a new decade, I decided to share them with you this time and do things a little different. This is such a refreshing activity I recommend for everyone to gain more clarity. Always start with the end in mind, so you have direction on to where you are going. This year, I truly want to be so busy loving life that I have no time for hate, regret or fear. With that being said, lets dive into my new year resolutions, maybe they can help you, too.

+ MORE PATIENCE

Something I always have struggled with is being patient with myself and others. I am a person who always is on a schedule, and if you’re late – I’m probably pissed. There is usually no going with the flow around here. This is important for me to continue to work on even if it requires baby steps to the end goal. We all have to start somewhere.

+ BE KIND

Okay, you can never be kind enough. If we all focused on being nicer to one another, this world would truly be a better place. It isn’t just a mentality that I want to share towards others, but also something that I’d like to push towards myself, my personal life and my professional career.

+ EAT HEALTHIER

Adjusting from the college life into adulthood is not easy… at all. Especially when it comes to eating healthy and being proactive. I actually promised myself I would start meal prepping on the weekends, so let’s see how this goes.

+ WRITING MORE

Recently, as you have probably noticed - I have been really focusing on myself for the last 4 months and have not been writing a lot like I used to. This is something I really want to push to help within my career, and connect more with y o u.

+ SELF CARE

Starting with a skin care routine, and staying shape is something we all procrastinate. Looking back on 2019, I did not do what I truly planned – so this is an ongoing resolution. Self-care is more than just beauty products, I think it begins with staying in a positive mindset, and don’t let yourself carry something that is too heavy for you.

+ GO ON VACATION

Women who vacation at least twice a year have a lower heart attack risk than those do so rarely. And people have found that even thinking about an upcoming trip can boost happiness for weeks. So, count me in. I have 2 dates already planned, one more won’t hurt either.

+ ENJOY EVERY MOMENT

Maybe this starts with walking more, going to the lake, or beach. Whatever it is, I want to wake up every morning and truly be thankful for another day. I think this plays a huge role on how you set your attitude for the day, and how you treat others as well. It all begins with yourself. What are your resolutions?
