MY FAVORITE ICE CREAM SHOPS IN ORLANDO
I am wondering why I have never written a blog about my favorite ice cream shops in Orlando. If you know me, you know that I love ice cream and I could eat it literally every day - but my doctor suggests otherwise (yes, Orlando Health - I’m talking to you). Even though it’s not the best thing to do, I still eat it… a lot. For my birthday every year, I always request an ice cream cake. I have even convinced some of my friends and coworkers to get ice cream cakes for their birthday too. There’s nothing worse than going to a birthday party and not liking the cake. Ice cream? You can never go wrong though. So, if you need ice cream cake for your next birthday or if you just want to go get a cone on a Sunday afternoon before sending the kids back off to school - here’s a list for you to follow!
𖣯 Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop
This is one of my favorite places to visit at Disney Springs, so if you’re making a visit over there to stroll through the springs - you definitely need to stop here and grab a sweet treat. One of my favorite items to get is the Magical Sundae or the Cookie Crumble Hot Fudge Sundae. Every time I’m in the Springs, I have to make a stop at Ghiradelli. If you ever find yourself going to Ghiradelli with me, I will probably tell you the story of when I went to San Francisco and went to the original Ghiradelli Square. 10/10 experience, but won’t be back because I was way too homesick. So, Ghiradelli at Disney Springs it is.
𖣯 Kilwin’’s Winter Park
We just made a pit stop here the other day after a work meeting. My coworker’s husband had been craving some fudge, and we had a meeting in Winter Park - so right after the meeting, we had the perfect excuse to go get some ice cream.
𖣯 Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream Shoppe
Living right down the street from Kelly’s location is really dangerous, and I mean like I am walking distance to Kelly’s. Not that I would ever do that again (it was an extremely long walk from Orange Ave, especially with Roxy), but it was definitely worth it. Unfortunately, this isn’t one of the ice cream shops that are on the top of my list, because the majority of their ice cream flavors have some type of nut. Whether it’s peanut butter or walnuts, it’s a no-go for this gal.
𖣯 Bruster’s Ice Cream
This is the holy land. This is heaven. This is everything you will ever need in your life. I saved the best for last, and I’m not even kidding. I grew up on Brusters ice cream. As a kid, we would always make a trip up to Rocky Hill, which was only about 4 minutes away from where we lived.
