5 Best Travel Essentials I Always Carry With Me
When it comes to packing bags and traveling, I always find myself throwing things together at last minute . . 'cause who really likes to pack anyways? Recently, I have been finding different ways to be more organized and I guess you could call this skill.
Whether its a weekender, backpack, or luggage . . . it's what's inside that counts.
Regardless your trip, packing bags is something that takes time, and it is challenging. Starting with your airline, and ending with yourself. Organization plays a big role in our day to day lives - especially traveling, but lucky you - this trip has edited our suitcases down to the essentials.
I really couldn't imagine even leaving home without any of these products.
1. Water Bottle
Staying hydrated is the number one essential to literally . . . life. Keeping a ceramic water bottle that you can constantly fill up is even better. These keep your water cold throughout the majority of the trip, and they are a need in general.
2. Pen & Notebook
As a journalist this is something I carry with me no matter where I go in life. I think always having these essentials is important because you always have a time where you need to write down ideas in your head. I even keep a pen and notebook on my bedside table. Studies have been shown it is good to write down your dreams when you wake up.
3. Sunglasses
I really couldn't imagine life without my Ray Bans. . . especially while living in Florida. You never know when you will honestly need these. One minute its raining and the next it is sunny and 75. Personally, I have always loved Ray Bans from the start, but everyone has their own style. These are especially good in airports so people don't talk to you - and also think you're on a mission!
4. Lotion & Cream
While traveling to different climates it is normal for most people's skin to develop to the different weather, which causes dry skin for most. Personally, I always use cocoa butter cause it is so light weight, easy to put on and literally $2 anywhere you go. Nobody wants to itch themselves to death, at least not me. Plus, you wont look like a scaly snake. $2 is worth it.
5. A Good Book
Last but not least, a book is the best thing to bring on a traveling experience. You will find so much free time in the airport, and reading also relaxes the mind so you are not anxious before you get on your plane. Did I mention you don't need wifi for this either? I am always bored with the same 3 playlists on Apple Music for hours, so a good story is always worth the wait with the crying baby behind you. I always end up choosing a good Nicholas Sparks book or Stephen King, I'll thank my mom for that. Find yours today at your local Barnes & Noble.
