FUTURE TRAVEL DESTINATIONS

As I am making my coffee at 4PM on a Tuesday afternoon, I had the desire to write something, but I wasn’t really sure what to write. I continued to research on Pinterest for inspiration from the moment I woke up, which was not too long ago. 9 AM classes with graduation three months away is really not the move. At the beginning of the month, I thought this would get me in a better routine but I soon came to the realization I like sleeping in late and going to bed early.

For ones who don’t know, my dream is to travel around the world, and share my experience with you, so you can hop in my suitcase one day. I pondered on this for a couple weeks, and how to actually start sharing my experiences when I’m not traveling yet. Quite frankly, I have never been out of the United States, unless we want to talk about one time my papaw took us to Canada on the way to the pancake house. Needless to say, I didn’t get pancakes. So, as I continued to think about the places I wanted to go, I also thought about sharing them with you. Didn’t I tell you? You’re invited! Well, kind of. I’ll try my best at this point in time.

It is honestly so hard to choose the first place I would visit in the entire world, but I would have to choose Europe, but mainly Italy & Rome. Growing up in the Catholicism world, I have been constantly educated about this beautiful place, and my dad always wanted to plan a trip once I turned a certain age. A few months before he passed, we actually received our passports. With that being said, he’s still going with me, just really in my suitcase this time, and that’s okay. I have wanted to just get out there and experience all the things I used to adore, but not so much anymore. I completely changed in early 2017, and started to dislike nature and things I used to love. Recently, I have realized that change and have been more adaptive to life itself. You can absolutely get lost in nature, and the world in general. Not only does this make you feel free, but you might find yourself, or something that brings you back to who you once were – and I think that by itself is beautiful. Whether you end up in my suitcase or not, this list will be good for wanderlust, another day in the office, or drinking coffee at 4PM after a nap.

1.     ITALY

Like stated before, this will be my first destination due to its culture and overall aesthetic. I feel like I will be able to express myself here more than other places I’ve visited due to my background. Plus, I have heard there are a lot of tours and great food. If they have a buffet too, then I’m sold. I plan to go a few months after graduation, and experience this place as well as blog about it so stay tuned.

2.     BORA BORA

I have at least 5 trips planned here with my friends. This is one of my most chatted about place in the world. These tickets and round trip are cheaper than some music festivals, and I don’t know about you, but I’d much rather go to Bora and experience the culture. I’ll get plenty of snapchats from the concerts.

3.     AUSTRALIA

Let’s be real, all of the people are beautiful and I’m just going to figure out the secret on how to treat your skin right. While I’m doing this, might do a wardrobe renovation. Who knows, I might move in with my new best friend. Most importantly, I want to travel to experience different cultures, share my experience, and how it is going to help me in the future overcoming trauma, and other events in my lifetime. Nature is healing to the soul and it is a powerful medicine that allows us to heal.

4.     NORTHERN LIGHTS

This sounds so cliché but I promise I got my inspiration from the little black girl on the Polar Express. She is singing such a beautiful song that makes me cry every time, and then the northern lights. I need to talk to that director, because we need to collaborate. I know nothing about filmmaking, but I’ll be quick to learn.

5.     ICELAND

Not a fan of cold weather, but I’m willing to swim in their hot springs. This place is beyond beautiful, and did you know you can descend into a volcano? There is so much to do and experience, plus there are also icebergs on the beach. Living in Florida, that sounds like paradise. Weirder than you can imagine, and that sounds like I place I want to be. Adventure could probably be my favorite word if I had to choose one.

6.     TURKS & CAICOS

I have had many family friends become familiar with this location over time, and as most of you know I am a warm weather gal. I am obsessed with this place and their water is so clear as well as the perfect shade of blue. As I continue to talk about all these amazing places, I’m starting to find different hotels.

7.     GREECE

Being a photographer, yeah I don’t think I have to say much more.

8.     HAWAII

I cant tell you how many times my grandmother has visited this place, but not once has she brought me along with her. One time I was almost convinced I went as a little girl, but then I realized it was just a dream. In all seriousness, I need to know how to convince your grandma 101. Advice please?

9.     THAILAND

One word. Elephants. Make that two, bohemian vibes. I cannot express how much this place is calling me home, but one day I will be able to rescue all the elephants and bring them home with me if my future husband allows that. Otherwise, I’ll sneak them.

10.  BARCELONA

If you have ever seen the movie, Cheetah Girls then you’ll understand where I’m coming from. Otherwise, order it on Xfinity tonight and watch one of the best movies of my childhood. I have dreams of running down the streets singing their songs, and dreams come true as long as you believe in yourself.
