THE BOATHOUSE AT DISNEY SPRINGS

Do you ever find that one restaurant you become so obsessed with, it’s the only place you ever want to eat? Recently, that’s The Boathouse for Braxton and me. One of the most popular restaurants at Disney Springs - and I hate to say this—it's actually worth the hype. In the last couple of months, I think we have spent the majority of our time there. From casual date nights or even celebrating the start of my birthday weekend, it’s definitely a place I recommend to all our friends.

When we went, I was immediately astonished by the vibes. I am definitely the type of gal who loves an aesthetically pleasing restaurant or aesthetically pleasing anything really. The Boathouse can definitely be a place for a casual date night or even an upscale one - depending on where you sit. It’s decorated with vintage pieces featuring some artwork of dream boats from the '30s, '40s, and '50s.

If you’re looking for a casual night out on the water, I definitely recommend sitting on their floating dock. It’s first-come, first-serve, and a great place to watch the sunset. Since I grew up on the lake this felt like a little bit of home for me. If you’re wanting a more upscale date, sitting inside is just as great - just a different vibe.

Now to the important part - the food. Each time we have been we have tried something new, and it’s so hard figuring out what to tell you about first. Everything we have tried is so good, but I will highlight our favorites so far.

Braxton recently got the Red Grouper, and it was worth every penny. It’s paired with some zucchini, squash, and peppers. Every bite is delicious, and I wish Braxton would’ve shared more - but I understand why he didn’t.

Another one of our favorites is the shrimp boil. At first, when I ordered this, I thought it was going to be so huge. Thank the lord it was a perfect size, and I ate every bite. I will definitely be getting this again. My mouth is watering thinking about it. The dish is seasoned with Old Bay, and every bite is juicy!

Without a doubt, if you come here and you’re not feeling fish that night - no worries. You need to try the filet mignon sliders. The filet is tender and juicy, while garlicky, and buttery. I truly cannot wrap my head around the fact that these sliders are so simple: no mayo, no cheese, just perfect 'lil filet mignons. It’s considered an appetizer on the menu, but Braxton got it as a meal and it was extremely filling.

Oh, and did I even mention the buttery rolls they bring to you before your entree? I think Braxton ate a good 3-4 plates of rolls, and if that doesn’t explain who he is as a person - I don’t know what will.

The best part about The Boathouse is every time we have been here, we just walked right in and got sat. We did not have reservations, but if you’re coming around rush hour (7:30 ish), I definitely recommend making reservations. It can get busy, but we have always been lucky enough to walk right in. It’s definitely a place worth trying and if you ever get the chance - let me know what I should try next!
