COMFORT STYLE
When it comes to shopping for new spring items, I recently just found a place that I fell in love with their overall aesthetic. As soon as I landed on their page, I felt like it was made specifically for me, and this is all about finding your target audience as a media strategist. I could really go on and on about this topic, but it is what I love to do. Throughout my experience in the web, I have come across many designs that resonate with me, but this has to be my all-time favorite: JOAH BROWN > > > >
Branding is so important when it comes to any marketing aspect a company can take, and one reason why I enjoy what I do so much. I love helping brands, researching them, and finding ways to expand their company even further. Now, I’m done with the “boring” talk, at least for most of you – for me, I live & breathe for this. Let’s get to the basics. As I am typing this, I am waiting for my shipment to arrive in the mail today and I cannot wait any longer! I don’t know if it’s just me but if someone gives me a tracking number, I go to the USPS website almost every day for constant updates. I am very detail orientated when it comes to certain things, especially in my personal lifestyle.
Anyways, I ordered some new tops to wear casually, or even if I wanted to go out downtown. One main reason why I love this brand is because comfort is key. If you haven’t realized, that’s so Reagan. I mean, who would want to wear uncomfortable clothes in the first place? Especially living in Florida, the weather can be so uncomfortable that you want to be comfortable. From park hopping, shopping, traveling, and bar hopping – comfort style is key - at least to me.
Every time I try to find new outfits I mainly see if I could do cartwheels in them, because I might – that’s a pleasure of being my friend. I think clothes also portray a huge part about who we are and what we live for. This is why it is called art, because it brings an emotional impact. You either love a shirt or you hate it and those are feelings. There are many different aspects of design, and simplicity is something I focus on. It reflects my background as well as my family history and it does the same for you. Whether you are a fashionista or not, what you wear shows who you are, and a lot about you. I think this is an important factor to not only realize within yourself, but others as well. Established in 2014 – new to me in 2019. This brand has such a consistent as well as strong aesthetic, please hire me.
J. Brown brings together styles in comfort and simplicity. Being made in Los Angeles, these extreme soft fabrics are a perfect transition from studio to street. To me personally, I like a brand that is not filled with patterns and many designs and instead focuses on the actual person who is wearing that item. This leads for a passion in design and making each item unique in its own shape. Joah Brown brings a sexy yet tomboyish flare to the streets. Watch out for girls who run the world. This brand is named after designer and founder, Joah Brown who was originally inspired by her husband’s closet. From his oversized flannels, tees and tanks – this was her vision for her brand. She wants to make you feel comfortable within your own skin, something I also pursue in my personal brand.
Let’s talk about the tops I got. To begin, I got two of the game day tank – one in black and the other in pearl grey. These tanks have a very unique and one of a kind cut to them and on the sleeves & on the shoulder as well as around the neck is ribbed material. I think this gives it more of an aesthetic and consistent vibe. I really cannot exaggerate how soft these tops really are. I can wear these for days. I got a medium/large and it fit perfect, it fits slightly oversized and I really enjoy this top. I could easily pair this with jeans or shorts. Maybe, a skirt one day if I ever purchase one of them. These items are so delicate and elegant that I now understand why they are 60 bucks for a shirt. Extremely worth every penny. Another reason this brand is perfect for me, I will embrace the tommy boy style until the day I die. Free shipping on purchases 100$ or more. Now, that some hours have passed, lost train of thought, and my shipment finally arrived, I threw on my favorite (so far) that I got on SALE. Currently, J. Brown is hosting a sale with select items being 20% off. CLICK HERE to shop. Hopefully, I don’t spill my coffee on it, because I already did my laundry. Back to business, these tops are perfect for summer, and especially in Florida. These are lightweight and the softest material I have felt in a while, you can definitely tell these shirts are made with quality as well as care. I cannot wait to wear these, and spread the love - stay tuned for the Joah Brown shoot, coming soon.
